Echoes from the UK-Family Concert July 21st

Help us sing some songs of science, find a special crab that’s deep in the mud, sweep the stars (don’t forget to have a brush with you), tell off a contrary Mary, dig with the Trowelblazers, engineer some music, and find out what Beatrix Potter and her postman have to do with science.
Phew! Biology, Astronomy, Maths, Geology and Engineering were never more fun.
You can sing and join in the actions and expect to be astonished by the amazing discoveries made by some the UK’s most important women scientists.

A guide to this special programme featuring music by women composers and local connections with flight, from the bats and moths at Pitsford Water to Women Flight Engineers. Our researchers have found fascinating women from across the county whose exploits will astonish you and – if you are from Northamptonshire – make you very proud indeed!

Every time I visited All Saints Primary School as we prepared for the show together, I drove along the Clyde, crossing it on the Erskine Bridge and feeling its deep waters and beautiful countryside calling me home and to a wonderful opportunity to discover women in science then and now!
Echoes fae Fife

Kirkcaldy Old Kirk hosted the performance featuring Doctor Adeline Campbell & 5 of her sisters, born to the minister there in the late C19th; Mary Somerville who grew up nearby in Burntisland and 7 incredible Astronomers and Physicists from the University of St Andrews
Echoes from Lyth Arts Centre

We learnt a great deal on the tour which started in St Abbs in the far South East, visiting Stirling, Killin & Kenmore, Isle of Coll and Strathpeffer on our way to this Northern outpost of artistic excellence, bursting with energy and life in a most unexpected, isolated position.
A Song for Strathpeffer Saves
/in Echoes, electric voice theatre, Minerva Scientifica/by Frances LynchStrathpeffer provided a wonderful stop over and fun diversion during our Echoes – Minerva Scientifica Tour of Scotland which began in June 2018 at Eyemouth and St Abbs and finished in Perth in November 2019.. We were on our way from the Isle of Coll to Wick, so we were delighted to spend an evening in this beautiful town, and what fun we had.
