Echoes from Inverclyde

What a privilege it was to spend time in Greenock, it really felt like coming home. Every time I visited All Saints Primary School as we prepared for the show together, I drove along the Clyde, crossing it on the Erskine Bridge and feeling its deep waters and beautiful countryside calling me home and to a wonderful opportunity to discover women in science then and now!

Fife turned out to be a treasure trove of women scientists past, present and future! Kirkcaldy Old Kirk hosted the performance featuring Doctor Adeline Campbell & 5 of her sisters, born to the minister there in the late C19th; Mary Somerville who grew up nearby in Burntisland and 7 incredible Astronomers and Physicists from the University of St Andrews
