This April, Minerva Scientifica Birthday Celebrations feature 6 women who have been ground breaking in their fields.

On their birthdays you will find music by 2 composers who also carved out careers as some of the first women conductors and a C19th composer whose work was lauded by poet Robert Browning.  Our 3 scientists this month include a geologist whose husband got all the credit for her work; another geologist who should have been a concert pianist and a physicist who was also an astute business woman. We will release a new PODCAST too which includes the first recording of one of the many songs by Scottish composer Helen Hopekirk which deserve to be much better known.

Check out the links on their birth dates to find out more, and explore our EVENTS CALENDAR.
