Young Singer’s Programme 2026: Pop- Up Workshop 2

Listen to the Rhythm

Attention to detail is one of the things that creates an exceptionally polished performance, and rhythm is one of those details that can completely change how your performance is perceived by an audience and how you connect to the music as a soloist or within an ensemble.

Our session will combine body and breath vocal warm ups and some of the listening techniques from the previous workshop with several ways of working on rhythm within different styles of music.

To apply – Please send your CV or a link to your website to: electricvoicetheatre@googlemail.com

There will be short sections of music for you to memorize in advance, so the earlier you apply the better your experience will be. Please let us know if you would need support with reading music, or have a visual impairment so that we can send the most suitable materials for you.

This is the second in a series of pop-up workshops which will be offered free (with optional donations) throughout the year at the beautiful Conway Hall in London given by the Artistic Director of Electric Voice Theatre, Frances M Lynch. Each workshop is built on an exploration of music by women composers for acapella ensemble and the singer as a flexible performer with a wide range of transferable skills.

A rare opportunity to work with
Electric Voice Theatre’s
expert acapella ensemble techniques
through the music of women composers
