Amy Johnson (1903 – 1941) is our Magnificent Women – an Aeronatical Engineer and World Famous Pilot, who first came to attention when she flew from England to Australia single handed. Her blazing career included daredevil flying in air shows, modelling, fashion and her final phase, which led to her early death, was when she was working for the Air Transport Auxiliary ferrying aircraft between airfields in the UK.
