On 20th September 2020, the Essex Virtual Choir premiered a new song of celebration about Women in STEMM from Essex by Frances M Lynch. The song creates a framework for many of those who participated in the project to share their thoughts and memories of the music, science, fun and laughter we had along the way. They talk about the inspiring women, past and present, whose lives shine a light on a legacy of science and technology in the county and a huge pool of music which has not, until now, been fully appreciated.
In the end they all agreed – Arts and Sciences belong together. There is Hope for Essex in that.
Part of electric voice theatre’s Essex 2020 Minerva Scientifica project “Echoes from Essex” in collaboration with Chelmsford Civic Theatre.
