Join us for a festive feast of carols new and old in the candlelit chambers of historic Conway Hall. Raise your voices with the splendid singers of Electric Voice Theatre, and discover a rich history of secular hymns, along with familiar favourites of the season.

4 people on a video call singing!

EVT Quartet for “Winter Carols by Candlelight” (left to right) Laurence Panter (tenor & piano), Amy Kearsley (mezzo), Gwion Thomas (baritone), Frances M Lynch (soprano)

From the beautiful “Peace on Earth” by Emily Josephine Troup (1853-1913) to a rousing “Merry Christmas” from Harriet Kendall (1857-1933). Come “a-rambling” with Imogen Holst, celebrate the angels with Judith Weir and listen to some lovely Starlight rounds for children by Nicola Lefanu, sung by the choir of Christopher Hatton Primary School. Expect the unexpected, and of course some beautiful music by Conway Hall’s cherished composer Eliza Flower (1803 – 1846) as we echo her own celebrated concerts at Southplace Unitarian Chapel.

Be surprised, uplifted, delighted and filled with the spirit of the season – we can’t wait to welcome you!
