Minerva Scientifica Birthday Celebrations in May features 2 composers and 2 scientists, each with their own extraordinary stories.

One of the composers was a pioneer of electronic music and the other, also a fabulous professional pianist, was known in her day as “the second Clara Schumann”. Both scientists worked in natural sciences – one in the far north of Scotland, meticulously studying flora, and the other was a marine biologist who made an historic visit to Japan in 1961 at the behest of Emperor Hirohito – there will be a new PODCAST too which includes the premiere of  new ART/SCI music by Frances M Lynch.

Check out the links on their birth dates to find out more, and explore our EVENTS CALENDAR.
